Dear Pastors, Churches, and friends,
I pray that this e-mail finds you all well as you continue to serve our Almighty God. I want to begin by expressing my sincere thanks to all of you for lifting us up in your regular prayers.
Last month I was severely sick for a whole month and lost a lot of strength. I had acquired some tropical infection which led to chikungunya and followed by high fever and motions for more than twenty five days. My body was completely dehydrated and I lost 10 kgs in one week. I think might be the cause for pumping so many anti-biotics into my body making me feel like a nuclear reactor.. But I'm feeling better now and recovering my strength slowly. Thank you again for all your prayers for God to keep us in good health also.
The translation work is nearing the end and I think we should be done with the translation part within another month. Then the editing from correction takes place along with the setting up of the document for printing. I honestly cannot predict a set time, but please do continue to pray for this huge project. The printing of this Telugu Bible is the mammoth task we need your prayers mostly now. As I mentioned before, Bearing Precious Seed are helping with the first batch of printing and we only look the the Lord for its furtherance.
We started our ACE curriculum based Christian School named "ALEPH ACADEMY," and have five students this year. We are hoping that the Lord sends more students next year.
The Lord is directing us toward the ministry of reaching the underprivileged through Baptist Charities from Rodgers Baptist Church, Garland, TX. We now have a small children's home with fourteen children here in our premises, and the Lord is opening a new door in the east coast for another one. Its only the infrastructure we're discussing about. And after the team from Rodgers comes hopefully in February 2019, they want to help us set up these orphanages under the mission churches that we established thus far. Although we were not inclined towards social work for many years and concentrated only on the spiritual side of winning souls and establishing Baptist churches, the Lord brought along Bro. Larry Jones and Pastor Ron Thomas with this burden. After the passing away of our beloved friend Bro. Larry, we are thankful that the Lord burdened Bro. Ron to carry forward the vision of Baptist Charities. It was a unique vision and burden of Bro. Larry to come up with a charitable ministry which would be operated under the umbrella of the Scriptural authority of the Lord's churches. I'll be travelling to Mexico late November with Bro. Joshua Pettijohn and others when I come to US this month. We'll be visiting Bro. Rivas and the Amazing Grace Children's Home in Mexico city.
Dad is right now in US for a one month trip which surprised us that he could make that journey. Joel is doing the driving for him and he is able to visit some of the supporting churches. Your prayers are keeping him going and he is going strong for the Lord here in India being busy in visiting all the mission churches that are close by.
The Lord is meeting our financial needs and His mighty hand of protection is evident as we continue to serve Him in hostile conditions. There are new organizations forming to stop the preaching of the Gospel and many incidents of cruel persecutions are on the rise.
Please do continue to lift us up in your prayers as we do the same for you. We thank you so much for your faithful support and prayers for the ministry here in India.
